Post knee surgery, 58 Quadriceps weakness after replacement 9 weeks
Quadriceps activation was poor and he could not perform a straight leg raise after surgery. NMES was used before each session to wake up the quads, followed by sit to stand progressions and step ups as strength returned.
Quad strength testing met surgeon milestones on schedule at nine weeks. He walked without a cane by week six and returned to light hiking by month three. He finished formal physio with a home strength plan he still follows.
